“Thank you for your interest in becoming an approved carrier or broker for Kenco.

Motor Carriers: To become a Kenco approved motor carrier you must provide and meet the following criteria:

  • Provide your MC/MX# or DOT# to begin registration. Intrastate carriers without a DOT# may provide an applicable state registration number to begin registration.
  • Carrier Contact must be authorized to enter into and bind your company to the Carrier Agreement.
  • Validate or provide the carrier contact information.
  • Submit an electronic W9. (Canadian carriers will download special W-8 IRS form and submit offline.)
  • Complete the Carrier Profile.
  • Read and ACCEPT the "Broker/Carrier Transportation and Sales Contract".
  • Provide a Certificate of Insurance that meets the insurance minimum requirements below. Certificates must be submitted from your insurance producer (agent).
    • Cargo - $100,000
    • Auto Liability - $1,000,000
    • General Liability - $1,000,000 per Occurrence
    • Workers Compensation - as required by statute
  • If RMIS does not already have a copy of your certificate on file, we will request one for you from your insurance agent (producer).
  • You will be required to meet the following Carrier Compliance Requirements:
    • Safety Rating must be Satisfactory, or None.
    • All Carriers must have appropriate and current Federal, State, or Provincial Authority.

Freight Brokers: To become a Kenco approved freight broker you must provide and meet the following criteria:

  • Have a signed Co-broker agreement in place with Kenco. If you do not have a contract in place, please reach out to your Kenco contact before proceeding.
  • Provide your MC/MX# or DOT# to begin registration.
  • Validate or provide the broker contact information.
  • Submit an electronic W9. (Canadian brokers will download special W-8 IRS form and submit offline.)
  • Complete the Broker Profile.
  • Provide a Certificate of Insurance that meets the insurance minimum requirements below. Certificates must be submitted from your insurance producer (agent).
    • Contingent Cargo - $100,000
    • Contingent Auto Liability - $1,000,000
    • General Liability - $1,000,000 per occurrence
    • Worker‘s Compensation - as required by statute
    • Truck Broker Errors & Omissions - $1,000,000 per claim and aggregate
  • If RMIS does not already have a copy of your certificate on file, we will request one for you from your insurance agent (producer).
  • You will be required to meet the following Broker Compliance Requirements:
    • All Brokers must have appropriate and current Federal, State, or Provincial Authority. “
